Ongoing iPad issues, going from bad to worse.

I posted on several threads about iPad issues such as freezing, threads not loading properly, and not being able to load Google properly afterwards, on 12/6 and 16/6. I now seem to be unable to reply on a thread I was on earlier today. There is no reply box, and the button “add post” just takes me to “similar threads”. All the previous issues are still ongoing, but in addition, am no longer able to reply to posts.

Using iPad IOS18.5 and Safari, desktop website, not the app.

Totally fed up!

I gave up entirely due to similar issues and now solely use the app
this was months ago.
if I try and use my iPad or iPhone for Mumsnet the problem returns.
the issue seems to be the big ads loading.
even when I navigate away it seems to cause a glitch on my iPad and tries to reload Mnet so I stopped bothering

I use the app on an iPad. It is truly awful. Circle of doom when reading longer threads, freezing, juddering if I can scroll down. I've given up reading threads that have many replies as it is impossible.

@SorrowsPrayers - we actually released an update last week that addressed some of these issues on the app. Could you possibly tell us the following?

  • What version of the app you're using (you can find this by opening the app, selecting the profile menu in the top right hand corner and then you should be able to see the version number at the bottom of the menu)
  • If you know roughly when the issue started
  • What iPad are you using (you should be able to find this by going to your general settings on the iPad and then select about)
  • What iPadOS you're using (again, should be able to find by going to the about section in your device settings)

I'm on an IPAD

I'm on IPAD 18.5.

The App is fine.

The website is just freezing on the IPad though and seems to be making other websites slow too. I'm using safari on the Ipad. It seems to be OK on Chrome.

app version 45.0.12
issue started when the new app was launched. I deleted and reloaded several times with no difference.
ipad air2 ( old!)
ios 15.8.4 ( I think)

note also the failure to capitalise new paragraphs.

Hello. Having exactly the same problems. In addition, using Mumsnet is crippling my iPad - all other websites fail to load after using it. Apple tell me that the iPad itself is fine, but the only thing that sorts it is restarting the iPad. Even then, after using it for 10-15 minutes, the problems resurface. I’m not using the app, I’m on Safari.
