iPad issue

When using my iPad to browse and post I keep getting a white screen with Threads I’m Following and Threads I’m On written in black and white. There’s a pink X in the corner and a pink arrow next to Threads I’m On but when you press on them nothing happens and I’m literally having to close the app down everytime to get off that screen and then reopen

Separately, it’s still IMPOSSIBLE for me to namechange within the app and I have to go on the website each time.

This is what I keep getting but only on my iPad. It’s driving me mad as the only solution seems to be to close down the app and start again. The ‘X’ doesn’t do anything.

Yes! @RomainingCalm thank you that’s EXACTLY what I’m getting. Both the cross in the top right and the arrow further down are completely unclickable so you are just left with a hung app because you can’t navigate off the page. @MNHQ

Yes, in my case it’s just the iPad app. Does 45.1.0 mean anything?

I’m having the same issue with the iPad app. The screen pictured shows when I try to use the back button on the top left. As another poster said the only way to get rid of the screen is to force shut down of the app - the cross on the top right does nothing.

Same here on the iPad, can’t close the slide-over tab with the x. Have to shut down and reopen.

No issues with desktop site.
issues just with app.
running the latest version of the app. Currently available (45.1.0)
as far as I’m aware my iPad is up to date running IOS 18.5.

I’m also on 45.1.0 and IOS 18.5.

When this started after the update it ‘only’ seemed to happen half the time. Now it’s every time.

I am getting this too., on the iPad app.

It seems to happen whenever I go back into the app and click on anything. It’s OK whilst using the app though IYSWiM, as long as you don’t switch to a different app and then come back to Mumsnet.

As PPs have said, they only way to clear it is to close the app down completely and reopen.

Appears to be doing it occasionally when I switch between threads too, rather than moving in and out of the app.

This issue is the same one I reported very shortly after the recent app update on this thread

I’m also finding I sometimes can’t use the Quote function on a post, and the comments box is generally misbehaving even more than it was before the update, it seems.

I was advised to delete and re install the app, which didn’t help 🤷🏼‍♀️
