Why are some forums laid out/formatted differently?

Is there some logical reason for the different set up for some forums? For instance, the difference between the film and television forums.

Hello @MsAmerica and @Serpentstooth we think you're referring to OP view - if so, you can change this in your Talk settings to 'compact view'. If we're wide off the mark here, please share a screenshot of what you mean and we'll try our best to help.

Why would it change from forum to forum?

However, if you do change it, it doesn’t remember for the next time and you have change again each time!
