Why is the site so slow just now?

I’m struggling to follow threads as the site keeps freezing on me. Any ideas?

Probably the sheer number of adverts. Try it on incognito mode and see what happens.

Thanks both. Are you using safari? Can we ask how many posts per page you're viewing or are you on infinite scroll?

Safari and 50 posts per page

Morning, everyone. Just checking in to see if this is still an issue for anyone here. If so, it's worth clearing cache and making sure you're viewing 50 posts per page and not 'all'. Let us know if you're still having trouble after that.

It's only happening late evening. Could be BT upgrades.

Same here incredibly slow keeps reloading or freezing
on iPad safari 50 posts per page driving me nuts.

The adverts are ridiculous nowadays. Some take up the entire page and keep opening on me when im trying to scroll past them

tuesday night it kept crashing my browser and my whole computer kept needing restarting.

I've been having the same issues as reported by the above posters for the last three days. Mostly in the evenings the site slows right down and I get the message about wanting to wait or try reloading. It started happening this morning and then the site crashed. I'm using Chrome. I've cleared by cache yesterday and have completely restarted the device several times. There are no issues with other websites open on Chrome.

I just hide them through iPhone’s wonderful “hide distracting items”. It makes such a massive difference.
