Report AI?

Would it be worth adding AI to spam etc, as a reason for reporting a post?

Thanks for suggesting this. We find the two quite often go hand in hand, to be honest!

The fact is, we don't have any hard and fast rules about whether people use AI - we know some people may use it to help them write their posts and we don't have a problem with that, though we have banned users who are quite obviously using AI to generate reams of text and are not really engaging properly with other MNers.

Overall, we're not seeing a huge amount of this kind of thing outside of spam bots, so we think the spam option is sufficient for now, or you could select the 'Not a genuine poster' option when reporting.
