Hi everyone, I've just joined and I'm actually just wondering..is it OK to be here? I'm 51,and not a Mum apart from being a cat Mum. I've read several threads over the years via Google and found answers to people's questions so helpful and informative. I feel I'd like to contribute to various threads and topics but the one thing that's holding me back is I'm not a Mum. Is it OK to be part of forum? Hope so 🙏 I'm newly married last month and in Lancashire UK.

I’m sure you are not the only one! Technically I should be on Gransnet but I prefer to be on here. I’m nearly 76 and my youngest daughter is 47! Welcome!

All Welcome here! Hello, I'm a Mum of 3 adult sons. 31,27,24 so well beyond the baby stage but I've been a member for 13 years now. I love Mumsnet! I'm disabled and don't work now and this is my connection to the real world. I enjoy the glimpses of other peoples lives and makes me realise I'm just the same.
i posted a thread yesterday in chat called" where in the world feeds your soul"
Read this and you will see the true nature of Mumsnet. I'm 60 but age and everything else is irrelevant

It’s absolutely fine, there’s lots of men here as well, some who don’t have children, so everyone is welcome.

I joined here in 2011 and didn’t have children until four years later. There’s so much here that isn’t about kids or parenting.

Enjoy!

Yes, most of the threads on here aren't children related anyway! :)

Hi CatherineAndy2025, and a warm welcome to Mumsnet Smile
You're absolutely welcome here and you'll find lots of our members don't have children - in fact we have a dedicated Mumsnetters Without Children topic if you'd like to take a look. We also have a topic for cat lovers - The Litter Tray - but essentially you're welcome to join in with the conversations anywhere on the site.

Here's a link to our Frequently Asked Questions page which tells you all you need to know about posting on the site.

And here's a link to our commonly used acronyms, which might be useful Smile
