Benefit fraud thread removed

I know that we can’t do a thread about a thread but I do find it irritating that when posters are blatantly asking for advice on how to defraud the benefits system and then get told they’re wrong that they then can complain that they might be found out and the thread gets deleted. The thread should stay so that they can be found out.

Totally agree.

I don’t believe in these instances that they should remove the thread, it makes MNHQ complicit in what they are trying to do.

Obviously they are trolling not really asking for advice. The thread is just a provocation.

Orangesandlemons77 · 05/06/2025 10:43

Which thread was this please?

Upsetbetty · 05/06/2025 10:55

and then they have the audacity to compare it to people who tried to reduce tax through legal means…🙄

Never2many · 05/06/2025 11:07

Well, given benefit fraud is pretty much encouraged and glossed over on mn it’s not really surprising is it?

Actually I disagree, I think these threads (and all the "do I qualify for PIP with my stubbed toe?" threads) should be zapped because the posters quite often give advice on how to claim these things and the site is searchable via Google and I don't want these people to have the information to do what they're doing.
Some of the advice on these threads is shocking. It's no wonder this country is nearly bankrupt.
