Sorry if this has already been covered - I’m finding the site so hard to use at the moment that I can’t look through previous threads easily.
I’ve used mumsnet - a lot - for 15 years - it has been an absolute lifeline for me at times. Mainly on my iPhone. Until recently I used an adblocker on my iPhone and was blissfully unaware of any issues. Then mumsnet suddenly wouldn’t let on anymore until I disabled it - so I did. And since then I’ve barely been back! I’ve found a way to minimise the impact of the extremely intrusive ads, but the one problem that is really causing an issue is the constant blanking out/refreshing of the page.
So I’ll come to mumsnet (I have Active convos and various other talk sections bookmarked and it’s the same problem with all of them), everything will be fine for about 5 seconds, and then the whole screen goes blank. If I wait long enough it eventually reappears (with ads of course). But the wait is ridiculously long - like living back in dial up internet times. And it’s every time! So essentially I get bored waiting and leave the site altogether. I feel really sad as I’ve gained a lot from mumsnet over the years but it’s now pretty much unusable.
Sorry for the long post but does anyone else experience this or have any idea how to stop it. I’ve tried clearing cache and cookies already.
