Part quoting hasn't ever been available. Only the whole post or copying and pasting a portion of it then making it bold.

Morning @JaneJeffer . Yes, this has never been available on the main site. You can, as others have said, copy and paste just the bit you want but there's no facility to quote just part of a post at the moment, sadly.

Hi again @JaneJeffer. Sorry - we misunderstood. Can you talk us through what you're doing? ie are you hitting 'quote' and then trying to edit what's in the box? Or literally trying to copy text from another user's post and it's only allowing you to copy one word?

I’m highlighting what I want to copy but if I go past the first word it kicks me off the thread

Works for me, is it an issue with your device, I'm on the app with an android phone

I am on the app on iPhone and can’t do this anymore.

I used to be able to highlight a sentence or paragraph, copy, then paste that into my comment to quote that particular thing rather than use the quote feature to quote a whole post. Not able to press to highlight any more.

I'm on a Chromebook and I've never been able to cut and paste either. It would be really handy, especially if the bit you want to quote is just a small bit within a really long post.

I can’t do this on the iPhone app anymore either - REALLY annoying, especially when I want to look something up by copying and pasting a word into Google!

At the moment copy and paste isn't available on the app, but we are hoping to resinstate this. We'll update when there's news on that.

For anyone having trouble with c&p on the main site, it would really help if we could see what's happening when you do this. If anyone is able to take a screen video of the problem in action and send it to [email protected] that would be really helpful. Thank you.
