Bookmarks and posting not working properly

For the past few days I've found that bookmarks don't work the first time and I have to wait for it to lag and then click a second time. Same with posting a reply, it hangs for a minute and doesn't post, and if I click again then it posts.

Hi @FortyElephants sorry to hear you're having these issues. Can you let us know which device and browser and which version of the site you're using - desktop, mobile or app - so we can take a closer look.

Me too. iPhone 11, ios is up to date, on safari.

I think the bookmark still exists. I can sometimes find it by going looking for it, it's just returning to a thread sends you to the final post instead.

It exists, that's not the problem I'm having, it's not working the first time I press it, just hanging and then sending the error message until I press again.

Hi everyone. We are aware of a problem with users being taken to the wrong post when accessing a bookmarked post at the moment. We're working on a fix for it right now and will update once it's working properly again.

Thanks. That's not the problem I am experiencing though - I'm still having the issue where I click bookmark and it hangs for a while then posts the error message, and the second time I click it works. Same happens when I click post just without the error message. Hangs and then works.

Hi there @FortyElephants. Apologies for the misunderstanding. Could you link us to a thread or two where this is happening? We'll try and recreate it to work out what's going on.

It happens on almost all threads and is also doing it when I click voting on AIBU. It may be an issue with my phone 🤷🏼‍♀️ but isn't happening on any other sites

This is still happening. I'm surprised it's taking so long to fix!

Hi @FortyElephants. We've just tried again to recreate this at our end and have been unable to. Are you still having this issue with bookmarks? If so, do you think you could take a screen recording or just use another phone to record it in action and email the video to [email protected] so we can see exactly what's happening? Thank you!

Hi @FortyElephants, thanks for your patience on this. Are you still having this issue? If so, could you let me know whether it only happens when you're using mobile data? So far, we've only been able to reproduce the issue when the internet connection is poor.

Thanks - I replied to your email - it does seem to be a connection issue, though it only happens on mumsnet. I tried it on a better WiFi connection and it still happens occasionally but not almost every time like it was before.
