Can't work out how to turn ad blocker off

I have tried to follow the instructions, but I just don't have a shield symbol in the bottom right hand corner of my browser.
I've looked everywhere else too, but I can't work out how to turn it off.

Hi @birdling if you can let us know which device and browser you're using we'll try to talk you through it.

bit of ChatGPT help:

1.Ad-Blocking Apps

You might be using: A system-wide ad blocker (like AdGuard, Blokada, DNS66, etc.) A private DNS or custom VPN/DNS setting that filters ads.

To disable them:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS.
  2. If set to something like dns.adguard.com or dns.blocka.com, change it to Off or Automatic.
  3. Check your installed apps for anything like AdGuard, Blokada, etc., and disable or uninstall it.

2. Antivirus Apps with Ad Blocking
Some antivirus apps (e.g., Avast, Norton) have ad-blocking options. Open the app and look for ad-block features to turn off.
