Really inappropriate ad

On a thread about anorexia, an ad about weight loss.
Bad.

I presume the ads pop up randomly and are not deliberately chosen to appear in specific places?

I think where ads have that little triangle they are dynamic and based on the individuals’ search history rather than Mumsnet choosing specific ads. I’m not sure they can control that.

Oh, I didn't know that. I use an ad blocker browser on my lap top but this was on the the mobile app. I rarely use the search function on MN - since it's pretty awful. If I do search it's usually for a username rather than a topic.

I have certainly not searched for anything about weight loss
