I hate the stupid scrolling

Just that really. I hate the stupid scrolling to move around in a thread, it takes so long. Before I could use the pages to navigate in the thread - sample what people were saying in the middle of the thread and jump around, now it's just minutes of waiting for the scrolling to happen. Yes, I know that you've added a jump to bottom and top from the dot menu but the site is basically sh*t now.

I hate the massive font on the app. Absolutely awful

The main issue I have had lately is that it just won't load when I click on a thread title. Never used to have this problem,only since the format changed. I'll click numerous times on a thread title,only for it to eventually say 'not found'. Clicking on the 'reload' option does nothing. Honestly,I waste many minutes each day mucking about in this way. 😂

Absolutely agree! Glad someone brought it up. Hate the extra keystrokes needed to specify whether you want to go to oldest or newest, instead of just being able to toggle, and hate having to wade through the opening post every time.

Hi @mildlydispeptic - as FusionChefGeoff has said, we've taken everyone's comments on board and have resolved the flip thread issue.

If you tap on the two arrows at the top right of a thread, it will flip the thread and only the title will show (so you don't have to wade through the opening post again).

You may need to quit the app and open it again to ensure the changes we've made at this end kick in. Do let us know how you get on.

Hi @ArtichokeSurprise - we initially thought you were talking about the app, but from the issues you're describing we think you must be referring to the web version of the site.

We've recently been testing a new way of scrolling through threads - there's more information on this thread if you want to take a look. We've said on that thread that we're able to remove people from the test group, so we've gone ahead with this on your account and you should now revert back to the paginated view. Hope that sorts things for you.

Hi @Queenage and @SemperIdem - you should be able to change the font size in your phone settings - if you're on an iPhone, click on Settings, then Display & Brightness, the Text Size, where you'll be able to adjust the font size.

Hope that helps but let us know if you have any other issues.

@JoMumsnet I’ve asked on the other thread to be taken out of the test group but no response and nothing has changed. I hate the scrolling, please can you sort this?

@JoMumsnet - I also hate the scrolling, MUCH prefer to see the page numbers so can easily skip through to the middle / third / end. Specially useful on very long threads.

Just stick the page numbers back on - even using the dots in the right hand corner doesn't work as you can't navigate to the page you might have been reading before the usual interruptions of working / kids hits. The update is not functional and not popular!
