No ability to copy & paste on new app

I do a lot of copying & pasting as there’s often something I want to google or make a note of. There was no issue with this on the old app, but I can’t do it at all on the new iPhone app.
Trying to select the text just isn’t possible.
(To clarify, it works while I’m writing a post, but not when I try to select and copy on someone else’s post)

Will you be fixing this MNHQ?

Good point!! I do the same or add to various lists on my phone.

in the mean time would screenshots work ?

Yes annoying as sometimes went to reply to a sentence but have too quote whole post

Pain in the arse as it’s an extra step but you can copy the text from a screenshot of the text.

Yep! Shouldn’t have to though, copy and paste is a really very basic thing I can do on every other app or website on my phone, except this one. Could do it on the old one no probs! It’s such basic functionality, I can’t believe they appear to have overlooked it.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your feedback on this. Yes, the copy and paste function is not there on the new app, but it is on our list of functions we're hoping to add very soon, so it shouldn't be long before it's back.

Thanks @HebeMumsnet it’s good to know it’s coming back, I’m very surprised it was missed in the first place.
