MN new app is full of bugs

Anyone else’s app update?

mine doesn’t work effectively. The sorting from oldest to newest, the ability to edit the comment.

I just use the website on my phone but now for long threads, instead of having them broken up onto different pages, it just scrolls forever. Which is annoying if you want to
post a reply as you never get to the form. Annoying.

Agree, it's awful. Bring back the old one! Worst is that the back button doesn't work when clicking on a photo, need to close the whole app and reopen it to get back to the thread.

I want the flip thread back.

You need to ask MN to remove you from the ‘test’ group. This is a change they rolled out recently- it’s dreadful

Have a look at the Site Stuff board. There are threads there about it

Mine changed too. You can flip but then you need to find a button saying "show newest post first" which is of course the whole purpose of "flipping" a thread.

I love the new app. It refreshes without me having to do anything, I can “thank” posters on my phone and best of all, edit my posts.

I really do not like this new app on my phone.
much prefer the old app, you should get the choice if you want to use it or not, not everyone wants to change things.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the endless notifications? I installed the new update yesterday and suddenly started getting a pop-up on my screen every time someone posts on a thread I’m on! It’s driving me nuts 😱

If you press the little keyboard button while commenting, say to check something on the thread, you can’t get back in to finish the comment. It’s really irritating.

It's been fine for me.

You can turn the notifications off in settings. Little circle thing in the corner at the top takes you to settings.

That’s not going to get your post seen.
There are various threads about the new app under the Site Stuff topic (which MNHQ does actively monitor) or you can use the Report function to contact them.

I agree. I liked flip as well. What I meant was that the new app has a belt and braces approach which is annoying. So I was raising my eyebrows at MN rather than you!
Mind you it might mean I spend less time on MN !!
