New app puzzling/annoying

So new app it seems.
but when I quote and comment, after posting I am returned to the beginning of the thread. I want to be returned to the point in the thread I was before I posted. @mumsnet?

Thanks for reaching out. We're going to look into this, as that isn’t working correctly. You should be taken to the post you just submitted. Is this happening on every thread you post on, or just some of them? Also, could you let me know what device you're using?

Yep @AmeliaPMumsnetjust posted on another thread and when I press post and then the return to thread link it takes me to the opening OP, not the part of the thread where I left off

Just to double-check, do you mean that after posting on a thread, when you navigate away (e.g., back to Active) and then reopen the thread, you’d like to be taken to your latest post rather than starting from the top?

PLEASE can we change the Flip function? I know it is ‘sort’ but it’s irritating and the op at the top is unnecessary.

I agree, where we used to just have to tap it once to flip we now have to tao and go to the bottom of the page to click ‘newest’ - it’s added and extra layer we don’t need. I’m finding the new app quite hard to use tbh, it’s not at all as easy as the previous version and while I appreciate that features previously not available n the main website are now available on the app it has come at quite a cost, user ease has been lost

I like to just see the OPs posts sometimes and used to then flip them to get to the ones I hadn’t read. I can’t seem to do this now though (unless I’m doing something wrong!). I can see just the OPs posts but then I can’t see the flip button because it ‘covers’ it so you can’t tap it. I’m using an iPhone 13mini and whatever the latest OS is.
Not a fan of the huge writing and white background either!!!

I’m finding the new app very annoying. 😕
The flip function especially as PP have mentioned. Also the OP at the top is really unnecessary and taking a lot of space on my screen. I am on iOS.

My question is -
Why has the app deleted my User Name & all threads I’m watching and have posted on? Do I need to do something?

That would still be annoying. I would want to just be returned to where I was. Not the start or the end.

Exactly the same for me. Can’t use the app as it won’t recognise me any more and font is gigantic.

I’ve just deleted the app then reloaded it and it let me log on. Back to normal now. Think issue was the app updating in its own. Didn't work until I did it manually.

Me too! Hate it, and really bizarrely I’m posting under a name I don’t recall ever using! I know I change my name regularly but if I have used it it was years ago! I also find it very difficult to read, and same issue with replies.

The massive font means I can’t scan through for threads I’m interested in reading and the lack of flip means I may no longer addicted… perhaps it’s good thing and after 22 years I’ll no longer be a regular poster.

I like the larger type and white background. Do not like new Flip system and can no longer find Hide.

I don’t like the fact I can no longer swipe left to bookmark threads but now have to click the dots and then bookmark. Much more fiddly.

And you used to be able to filter by the OP and then flip their posts so you could see their latest comments but now can not do both at the same time.
