Do discovered reverses get deleted?

Just that. I can't really see any examples. If q poster admits to a thread being a reverse does the thread get deleted?

Hi there @TheTwirlyPoos

It would depend on the circumstances really. We don't like to leave people answering something pointlessly and feeling like they've been 'had' so if it were clear the person was trolling and trying to cause trouble and the thread was going nowehere helpful, we might delete it or close it to new posts.

Often (for many reasons) we feel that the thread is still helpful (for others as well as the OP) and we'll leave it - usually with an edit to the title or original post to make clear that the thread was a reverse. While reverse threads aren't strictly against Talk Guidelines we don't encourage them as it just leaves people feeling like they've been taken for a ride and had their time wasted.
