Colours have changed

I used the site in dark mode and had the colour of my posts and the OPs posts to two different shades of purple. I have had them set these colours as long as I have used dark mode, and before that I had the colours on light mode to lavender. I get eye strain but purple seems to work for me. However yesterday or the day before the colours have suddenly changed so the OPs posts are now bright red. This is very difficult for me to read and is causing me headaches. I don’t know why the colours have changed and cannot find a way to change it back. The colours in light mode are as they have always been but I find light mode straining too. Is there any way to turn the colour back to purple or even to a dark green or blue? Red is too straining. I am accessing on my mobile in safari.

I have just changed to dark mode to see what it’s like and the OP post isn’t bright red. Maybe it depends on your “light” mode colours? Maybe try changing those. I think mine is set to lavender.

Your post is showing as very dark burgundy.

I just changed the colour to silver and yours (OP post) blends into the background.

When you change the colours don’t forget to scroll down the page to save the settings (I forget this!).

Hi @MolkosTeenageAngst . Sorry if a daft question but have you been into Settings to change this? It should be under 'highlight posts by thread author'. And then, as @AlexandrinaH has said, scrolled down to save before leaving?

@HebeMumsnet I think I did originally change the colour settings once upon a time to set OP posts to purple but I think this was years ago and I had to do it on a desktop, I definitely haven’t changed the settings recently and the colour only changed 2 days ago. I did go into settings before posting this thread to try and change it back but can’t find the option to change the colour of posts under settings, only to change between light & dark mode. Should I be able to change this if I go into settings on a mobile? If so whereabouts in settings would the option be as I can’t see it anywhere obvious?

Mine's changed too. It's not an issue with something youve done OP.

Facing the same issue - has been that way for a few weeks now. Just started one day.

I do not post often. And of course now when I post it is working again 🤣🤣

I did not touch anything to break or fix it. So maybe it was linked to a software upgrade at some point.
