Searching for a thread....why?

Doesn't it show them in some kind of order? It would be so much easier if it was by date rather than totally random.

I saw a thread the other day that I wanted to revisit so search by keywords in the post and loads of old threads come up.

Thanks for asking about this. Threads that show up in a search are listed in order of relevance - so, those with the most number of words matching those in the search field will show up first. And if there were two threads with an equal number of key words, the newest one would show first.

If you use the advanced search function you can filter it so it only shows threads within a specific time frame - eg the past week, month, year etc.
