Is it possible to hide a board?

There is a particular board that makes me want to scream when the titles of its threads pop up on active. Is there a way to hide boards from my feed?

You can hide topics in your settings?

More Settings>Talk Settings>Manage your hidden threads and topics. You then get a drop down to hide individual topics (boards).

have you Accidentally followed the thread?

if not, I don’t think you can unfortunately

That’s what I was trying to work out. I can see there’s an option to hide threads but not whole topics. Where do I go to hide a topic?

This. Go to Settings then expand More Settings and scroll down to the bottom of that page.

I'm on Android phone in browser, not app. Not sure if it's possibly different on app.

It's right at the bottom and then you can add topics to the hide list.

No, the topic just comes up on active frequently and it’s always the same sort of thing.

I've hidden lots of boards for different reasons. It's not a terrible thing to hide a board you're not interested in, so I doubt anyone would jump on you for that unless you make particularly 'mean' comments about the board.

If you're using the app, tap on the three horizontal lines at the top right of the screen, then 'My Mumsnet'. At the bottom of that screen click on 'Open Additional Settings', then select 'More settings' at the top of the next screen, followed by 'Talk settings'. Scroll down on that screen to get to 'Manage hidden threads and topics' and click on the tab. Then (finally!) you'll have the option to hide a topic.
