im not a fan of meet calls due to auditory processing issues making things like that hard for me to follow, so i won't be signing up.

But, can i ask why do you need a google call? I use the site like normal, i open and read threads, and scroll through, and the page suddenly freezes and crashes my browser.

I'm using the same browser i've always used (microsoft edge) reading the same way i've always read.. (100 messages per page) and recently MN seems to have decided to suddenly freeze, which crashes my browser.

Hey @WinterBones, Thanks for getting in touch. We need to call so we can inspect the cookies & ads on your screen when the ads are freezing. It’s really hard to replicate the crashing and freezing internally, so we’re looking for people on desktop, so we can identify if it’s an individual corrupt cookie that is causing your issues.

Can you tell me, if you use a browser that isn't Edge (Safari or Chrome)
, how does it run?

Thanks for explaining! That makes sense.

I only use Edge with MN so i can't say if it bothers Chrome (The other browser i use) as I currently only use Chrome for Twitch streams.

@WinterBones This is interesting to know. One thing you could try is viewing Mumsnet in a private browser on Edge and see if that is any better? Also I'd try clearing your cache and cookies and seeing if it stops?

Mine seems fine now I've installed an ad blocker.
