Given what has happened recently, how is so much spam still able to be posted?

I have reported at least 10 threads today just in aibu alone. All obvious spam about mcafee, tech programmes, yahoo phone numbers etc. How is there not some kind of filter for this type of stuff that blocks it?

Yep. Me too.

It's got to the point now that when opening MN in Active Conversations, the first thing I look at isn't the title of the thread, it's how many replies it's got. 0 replies is usually a good sign.

Hi OP

Thanks for reporting - there hasn't been any more spam than normal in recent days/weeks. We do filter but spammers are always finding new ways to get through. That said, we're looking at what else we can do to improve it now.
