Hide distracting items ❤️

I have just discovered this fantastic thing on my iPhone- apologies if u all know about it already…

so, if you’re on Mumsnet or another website and the adverts are annoying you, you can go down to the menu bar and you’ll get an option to hide distracting items. You can then choose the advert or the video that keeps playing or whatever and tap it it just disappears.It’s so nice to be able to read a mumsnet thread without having a busy advert flashing away at the top of the page.

has this option existed since the beginning of time?

I didn't know that and have just tried it! Amazing! Thanks for the heads up.

Makes you realise how much of your phone capability is just not noticed, but also hidden in plain sight.

I am on iPhone but had a quick google and can’t seem to find a similar Android feature that isn’t as quick and straightforward to use.
