Ad for free puppies?

Hi MN, I wondered if you would look into this please - an advert on MN for a company called "puppies nation .com" that is advertising free puppies. I think it came up in a thread about MIL being a sociopath. But it doesn't feel right, and a Google search shows that people are asking if they are a legit company. Thanks.

Find the thread, and click on 'Report' (bottom of each post) and that will report directly in to whoever is moderating this evening.

Hi there @Nikitaspearlearring . We just wanted to check in on this. Could you tell us more about the ad, such as where on the site you saw it? If you happen to be able to get a screengrab or better still a link to the url of the ad itself that would be brilliant. Thanks!

Hello @HebeMumsnet Thanks for your reply. I didn't see the previous reply as I had gone to bed by that time.
I didn't know how to report an ad so didn't take a screenshot or anything like that. (But now I know, so thanks!)
It just looked like a spoof ad as I couldn't believe anyone could be that irresponsible. I looked them up (puppies nation) and saw lots of pictures of very young puppies although I didn't click on the site. I'll see if I can find out anything more.

Thanks so much @Nikitaspearlearring. We'll have a hunt too but anything else you happen across would be really useful. Thanks again!

Hi @HebeMumsnet OK I went on Trust pilot. They have a lot of negative reviews saying they are a scam. Netherlands phone number and seem to charge a subscription fee (reviews mention US dollars but maybe they use pounds too), only to then say that no dogs are available. One of the 5-star reviews is scathing so obviously shouldn't be 5-star, and another appears to be AI generated. I am concerned that they work with puppy mills.
On the thread (Is my MIL a sociopath?) the advert isn't coming up but I'm not sure how often the ads change.

Thanks @Nikitaspearlearring . We'll pass that info on and see if we can track it down.
