New tablet showing desktop site instead of mobile site

My new Lenovo tablet insists on showing desktop site instead of mobile one. There used to be the option to toggle between the two formats but MNHQ removed it a few years ago. Can we have it back please?
(Nd no, I don't want to use the App because it's dreadful)

Well, that's weird.
I accidentally found the solution,
If I have my tablet landscape, it's the desktop view
If I hold it portrait, it's mobile view

Thanks for asking about this. We don't separate out mobile and desktop - it's just one site that adapts to the available width of the screen. Meaning that it isn't based on the device, it's based on the width of the screen. As your new tablet will have a higher resolution, it'll therefore show more than your old one when in landscape, which means you'll get the desktop view because that's what best fits the screen.
