When viewing threads I have been redirected to a porn website twice in the last few days. Just a random jumble of letters as the link. Really disturbing !

only happens with mumsnet so I don’t think it’s my computer.

not happening on mobile just Desktop

just thought I would let you know in case it is an issue with the site.

Hi @lolarun

We're sorry to hear you've been redirected to a porn site. Obviously we want to check this out as soon as possible so can you please give us any details you can about when and where this is happening.

Can you recall which thread you were on when you were last redirected? And was the link within a post or was it within an ad that you were trying to scroll past?

It's an issue with your pc.

Hi sorry I’ve been avoiding using mumsnet due to the issue so hadn’t seen this. You may be right , though hasn’t happened again since, and my laptop shows no signs of a virus after multiple scans so all evidence really to it being a weird ad on here.

it happened twice on different threads I accessed from the trending bar and I think it must have been one I scrolled past but I could have accidentally clicked I suppose.

im abroad if that helps, in the EU. sorry i cannot be more specific. Like I said the site address was just a random jumble of letters, it is probably more a scam or fake advert than anything else ?

just thought I should pass it on so you can look into it if necessary.
