I've noticed a lot of duplicate replies tonight! Wondering if due to the quantity, it's a site issue?

Yeah I noticed that too and did it myself once! I think it's due to the new "see older posts" function? I've been on MN 20 years and never accidentally double posted before last night, so something must have changed to make it happen more easily!

That was genuinely an accident. I looked away from the page for a second, looked back and my message was still in the reply box so I thought I hadn't clicked post...

And I've just almost done it again, I got a screenshot this time. The text isn't leaving the reply box after you post...

It's another fuck up following their site changes. I realised after I clicked post twice as it looked like it didn't post the first time, that posts are posting but still sitting in the text box leading to people posting twice.

Mumsnet HQ please could you just roll back the site changes?

It’s a bloody nuisance! After I’ve pressed Post the nesssge is still in the box … Several near misses yesterday, at least now I know to look out for it.

I hate the new feature; I miss the thread automatically jumping straight to my bookmark. And knowing that everyone has the whole thread in front of them. (At least, those of us with 1000 posts all on one page.) Nothing else makes sense.

Yes, this happened to me yesterday. My message didn't appear to have posted so I clicked "post" again.

Weirdly it doesn’t happen every time. With my post above everything was as normal, earlier on another thread I almost double posted because …

I’m on the mobile site, on Safari on an iphone 15.

They have rolled back the update so hopefully these bugs will stop too
