Showing OP's updated posts

Is there any way of making it possible to show in the OP’s first post that the OP has updated in subsequent posts – maybe show how many other posts they have added?

Apparently the See All function doesn't work in the app, and many posters don't even know it exists.

The increasing number of threads with unpleasant pile ons because posters haven’t bothered to read the OP’s updates is making mumsnet a more unfriendly place these days.

If there is a subsequent post it will say see next, if not it will only say see all

I know that, but apparently the See All isn't available on the app and far too many posters don't seem to know about the See All function, resulting some pretty nasty posts aimed at the OP just because they haven't read any of the OP's replies.

I was thinking that if it was more obvious for posters replying to the OP that there were more posts from the OP it might help prevent some of the horrible pile ons I have been seeing lately.

Hi there, @RampantIvy. It's a little harder to see in the app (working with a much smaller screen it's just not possible to get everything on there) but you can 'see all' on an OP's posts in the app.

You just need to go to the 'filter' symbol at the top right of a thread (it looks like a funnel). Click that and then you'll get a drop down menu for 'show only posts by...' and the first option to click will be the OP.

If you're a premium member you can scroll down and choose to see only posts by any of the posters on the thread, too.

I don't use the app as loads of posters complain about its functionality,

My point was more about the horrible pile ons resulting from posters not bothering to read any of the OP's updates (the church bells one is a good example).

I wondered if there was a better way of signposting in the initial post that the OP had updated, say 5 times, since first posting.
