Hi, everyone. We are pleased to introduce this new board dedicated specifically to discussions around the Christian faith. Many of you have expressed the desire for a space where you can talk about your beliefs in a more focused and mutually respectful environment. We want to honour that while maintaining the open, thoughtful discussions Mumsnet is known for!

To be clear, this board is not intended to be an echo chamber or to shut down critical discussions. Honest questions, debates, and differing perspectives are welcome, as long as they are respectful, and, of course, our usual guidelines apply here as anywhere else on the boards.

We hope you enjoy your new board and do let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Good, it's overdue.Smile

For 'discoverability', would it be an idea for the header on the Philosophy &Religion board has links to this (and also the Muslim, Jewish and any other faith-specific boards which might arise in future)? And conversely the specific boards might have a link to P&R for when someone wants a broader discussion?

Good ideas there, @ErrolTheDragon

Sorry we're a bit late in responding to this, but thanks for those suggestions, Errol - we'll discuss your ideas.

I'd also like to make the case for separating philosophy and religion. Not sure why they are together.

There's an overlap/intertwining isn't there? A 'religion' board might be seen too much as a place for religious people to chat rather than a space for anyone to discuss religion.
