Anybody else keep getting that bloody annoying Siemens advert popping up of its own accord?!

It's been a problem for a while now.

We're aware of this and are still looking into it, but it should be blocked. If you've cleared your cache and cookies, please could you send us a video of the advert as it appears for you?

This Siemens ad is bossing me about, forcing me to turn my phone from landscape to portrait, just so I can view it. Then it takes over the whole screen and has to be manually closed before I can go back to reading what was interrupted.

I really do not appreciate being forced to turn and resize my screen to see an ad. It’s not even content I’ve chosen. This is not the first ad to cause this problem. Please can you sort these out?

I’m getting these too - it’s blooming annoying.

You can’t scroll past but rather have to close the window.

Surely it is counterproductive as whatever I thought of Siemens before, I think a lot less of them now because of this.

Just had Siemens ordering me to rotate my device AGAIN while I’m trying to read a thread in landscape. What’s happening to sort this@mnhq ?

As @NothingTraLaLa says, it’s incredibly counterproductive as it’s putting me off considering a Siemens product next time I need to replace an appliance.

It’s really annoying
also trying to read MN normally stuffs my phone up and my internet crashes even when not on MN. ( as it won’t load)I still have to read threads via email

Sorry it took us a while to resolve this issue, and thanks for bearing with us. These adverts should be blocked by now but please let us know if any are still getting through.

Thanks Jo, sounds like you’re making efforts to stop this. However, it was still happening a couple of hours ago. I was reading a thread on my phone in landscape when the screen went black apart from a ‘rotate your device’ order. Which is the precursor to the whole-screen Siemens ad. I just closed the tab and went to another site for a bit.

Sometimes when we release an update, browsers store older versions. Can you clear your cache (just for Mumsnet) and see if this clears it?

I deactivated ad blocker today and despite also clearing everything it's also back for me.

@MultiplaLight and @Procrastinates - sorry to ask again but just wanted to double check, have you cleared cache in the last few days? The ad should be gone now but sometimes you need to do that again before it will stop appearing. You can just do this for Mumsnet - you don't have to clear everything.

I cleared my cache today and it’s just happened again, so that doesn’t seem to have helped.

Hi again @NothingTraLaLa . Yes, this one seems to be pretty persistent. We're aware and still working on it. We'll let you know when we've managed to find a permanent solution.
