No search box?

I can’t find the search box anymore! It used to be at the top of the page, appearing either on the home page or Active conversations, which is my go to starting page of an evening. Now it flashes up and then vanishes. Have I inadvertently changed something? I’m on an iPad if that helps.

If you're using Safari, then when the web browser is large enough it'll show the search box at the top of every page. Try turning the iPad sideways.

When it's not wide enough, it becomes a magnifying-glass icon at the top right.

Hi, sorry, @JoMumsnet life got in the way! Am back with the same problem.

At the moment if I want to search for something on MN I am using my actual Safari search box and adding mumsnet to the query, which is bonkers.

How can I ascertain which version I am using? Basically I use an icon on my iPad, which opens already logged-in on the MN homepage and from there I hit ‘Active Conversations’. There’s no search box once I land there, no spy glass either.

Oh and I just cleared everything off and closed all tabs, went through my usual process again and there is also no search box on my initial starting page, which seems to be the MN front page.

Hi again @ChoccyJules . Can you see a magnifying glass in the blue bar at the top of the page? That should take you there. If not, could you possibly send us a screenshot of what you're seeing? We might be able to work out what's going wrong from that.
