I have no useful input here, as I'm totally conscious that you are updating to increase your income, but wtf? What on earth have you done? No way to just go and see what people are chatting about? I'm sure it'll drive income to your new visitors but I can't work my way around it. I wish you well and adieu - not a fucking clue what your new site is doing!

There was a 'bad gateway' for about half an hour, and then 'active conversations' took me to the home page instead, but it's all mended now.

The Active discussions page froze for a few minutes after the outage and a couple of (very efficient) posters panicked and started Site Stuff threads before it righted itself.

Maybe you’re best stepping away from the site if a brief outage causes you such paranoia and distress, Pombear.

I thought maybe the site had gone down. Put my phone down and watch some more of the closing olympic ceremony, which I was half watching anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Hi pombear, as other Mumsnetters have explained, we did have a few technical issues with the site last night but it was all resolved fairly swiftly.

If you're still having problems this morning do let us know.

Now it's fixed this morning, so back to dithering about for me (while supposed to be working)
