I know mnhq have looked at it and think it’s fine but she is everywhere and making mn unusable at the moment. I don’t have small children but she’s stalking me anyway!

please do something!

She reminds me of Anna and Elsa, I thought she was AI.

And as soon as I said that she cropped up in three places. 😂

Now...look behind you 😮

😱😱😱🤓

I think she has amazing eyes and the glasses frame them perfectly. Oddly, I think it's a beautiful image. Didn't realise it was AI generated 🤦‍♀️

BroccoliHighkicks · 16/07/2024 19:31

She's a bit too shiny to be a real child (or maybe mine were grubby oiks!)

CombatLingerie · 16/07/2024 19:35

She is a bit creepy I guessed AI. She’s not as bad as that bum bag thing that looks like a fat hairy beer belly it seems to keep popping up on MN ads.

RaraRachael · 16/07/2024 19:37

I hate it. It's creepy and it's absolutely everywhere I look - at the side of the page, in the middle of a page - every bloody where.

Is there no escape?

TheShellBeach · 16/07/2024 19:38

She's horrid

POTC · 16/07/2024 19:40

As MN explained on the previous post, it isn't one of their ads. Its in an external slot so not something they can remove

LindorDoubleChoc · 16/07/2024 19:44

Strong dislike for this ad, for all the reasons already given.

Shitandrun · 16/07/2024 19:46

Uncanny valley

Convenient...

Blackcats7 · 16/07/2024 20:01

Horrible. Who buys stuff from these adverts on MN anyway? I presume they must be successful to keep being placed.

Sandyankles · 16/07/2024 22:17

They must be able to remove it! They can’t possibly have zero control over what adds appear!

Hi @Sandyankles thanks for posting. You mentioned that the ad is causing usability issues on the site. Could you please provide more info about any specific issues you're experiencing?

We understand that not every ad will appeal to every MNer and we appreciate the feedback. Advertising is an essential part of how we are able to keep the site free for all users and we work hard to ensure our ads are as unobtrusive as possible and don't interfere with your overall experience on the site. If it's a case of just not liking a particular ad rather than it causing issues with the useability of the site, we're afraid we're unlikely to pull a paid-for campaign on that basis. Anyone who prefers a fewer ads experience has the option to subscribe to Premium.

Thanks, all.

Sandyankles · 17/07/2024 12:33

It’s making mumsnet unusable because it is everywhere and lots of people can’t bear looking at it. I won’t be paying you any money!!

TinkerTiger · 17/07/2024 13:17

I wouldn’t trust and therefore use a company that uses such blatant AI, and it’s poor judgement take money from such a company. Hopefully their services are more real than their ads!

Well that's pathetic and not something I can believe. Why does MN have "external slots"? Anyone could advertise anything in that case.

I'm not techy at all, but this just sounds utterly lame.
