As above, really. I’m sure this must’ve been suggested before, which makes me think there must be a techy reason why it can’t be done, but please can MNHQ give us a way to hide threads in Active without having to click into them? I’ve just had to click on a thread titled ‘Bum smegma’ just so I can then hide it and avoid seeing it in Active again 🤢

Yes, it’s insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but thought it might be worth asking just in case. TIA ☕️

I think you can - well I can anyway, using iPhone in the website there’s 3 little dots to the side of the thread title; you click and there’s the option to hide it.

You can do this on the web and mobile versions.

Hi OP

Can we ask what device and browser you're using to access the site?

PickupperPenguin · 11/07/2024 12:33

Ah interesting, thank you! @LilyMumsnet I use Chrome on an iPhone and only get the ‘Watch’ option when I click the three dots 😊

Thanks, OP!

If you go to talk settings here: https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk and find 'Let me hide threads on my active feed' - you'll be able to switch the setting on.

Once this has been turned on, you'll see an option on the right hand-side of threads in active, which allows you to hide them without going into them.

Thank you so much @LilyMumsnet, I had no idea this was a thing! Such relief, no more smegma 😄
