Annoying pop-up, only appearing while on MN - any ideas?

Every time I click on a thread or topic I get the same message telling me that my security settings won't allow the page to be displayed properly because of Active X controls. If I click OK, the page then goes on to display (apparently) perfectly. This has only been happening for a week or so but it is driving me mad! (we haven't put any new software/firewalls on BTW.)
can anyone who is more IT literate than me help please?

Hi Sassy, sorry for the late response. To be honest, the less IT literate of the team are currently in charge with Steve off sunning himself overseas. Have tried to contact him but so far have had no luck. He's back 12th Jan, if we can reach him before then, I'll let you know his response, if not, if you could bear it until then, I'll certainly put him in touch with you on his return.
