What is the MN centroid?

Bear with me....

I was thinking about posting in Camping Topic re a mn summer camping meet up (shush now you canvas mockers), and I thought

'oh well it should be somewhere central'
(which in my head is Leics or thereabouts, maybe Rutland)

but then I thought

'Oh no the Scottish Campers'
(so up a bit, probably Lancs)

and then the Welsh
left a bit...Lake District. v nice)

and then The N Irish, to tick off the UK
(Isle of Mann)

and then

I started thinking about Kerry Mum
(camping in Irish Sea...no)
and
Califrau
(atlantic Ocean)
and MrsJC
(magma)

(apologies to well know oversea mners that I have missed out).

So then I Wikipedia-ed, which made me realise that my UK geography is pretty spot on really.

But left me no closer to the original question.

So do we know, where is our mn distributions most central point?

well is centre of erope as found by some french academics

you would need population density for cetre of mn i think

so would make it norf lunnon i reckon or maybe salisbury rofl

MerlinsBeard · 07/04/2008 19:56

the most dense MNetters live in London?

surely mn towers have a vague idea.

I like to imagine they have a mission control room, with a giant map of the world plasma screen doohickey. Everytime you log in, a little light shows up on the map.

At morning rounds Justine would say
"and yesterdays centroid was Basingstoke"

and all the others would make a note on their clip boards.

MerlinsBeard · 07/04/2008 20:05

Slubberdegullion · 07/04/2008 20:06
