Hi there @blippitybloppitybloo . Can you tell us the thread title or where on the talk boards you saw it? If we can track it down we might be able to tell you more.

It seems odd, I was just about to respond!
My son went to university in Prague for 3 years, after graduation he stayed and worked for Amazon in technology for 4 years.

CZ is beautiful, healthcare and education is outstanding, public transport is cheap and reliable.
I only know Prague, it is relatively safe, the Police mean business, we saw an arrest once it was a far cry from a UK arrest!

There are many large companies in Prague and Brno, job opportunities are good but salaries are not particularly high.
Accommodation can be expensive, beer is cheap as is eating out.

Most young Czechs speak English but they are not a particularly open race, my son always reckoned it was a throw back to communism.

It’s cheap to Ski, a lot of Czechs have holiday homes in the country, access into Poland, Germany etc is easy and roads are good..

Definitely worth going for a few weeks and seeing what you think.
