Ability to watch a thread without posting?

Hi, I used to be able to watch a thread without posting but now it seems that I have to post in order for the thread to show up in my lists.

Has the 'watch thread' option been removed? (seems a step backwards if this is the case) - If not, how do I watch without posting? What am I missing?!

I still have it- have you been logged out perhaps?

You should have a 'watch thread' button? I can see it at the top and the bottom of this thread . . . .

I have it on mine at the bottom under the text box and Add Image.

I can see a check box underneath 'add your message here' but it doesn't watch the thread unless I post.

There is nothing at the top of the thread. There is a 'follow topic' - will that let me watch a thread or is that just to follow the main topic ie 'site stuff'?
