Always jumps up start of page when returning to a thread

I’ve noticed that when I click on a reply in a thread I’m on,,it always returns to the top thread of that page, and not the most recent post? I’m sure it didn’t used to do that?

anyway, it’s very annoying. Has anyone ride reported similar? I’m on web browser through an iPhone (not app)

It's SO annoying, I wish it would return to the post you quoted. It is so difficult to find your way back on a long thread.

@CoffeeAndPeanuts i’m glad it’s not just me noticing it though, I thought I was imagining it!

Puts me off engaging with the thread. Sometimes it does it even when you just read the thread- straight back to the start.

Hi everyone. We can see that @thenewaveragebear1983 is not on the app - can you tell us what sort of device and which browser you are using, bear?

And can anyone else having this issue also let us know the same info, or whether they are on the app rather than the site?

Same issue here. Using a web browser not the the app. I’m reading threads and it just takes me to the top again in a few occasions

it doesn’t do it every time, just intermittently. Seems to be when I’ve not read the replies yet. When returning to a thread I’m fully up to date on, it goes back to the last message

It happens for me on some threads and not others. I mostly read AIBU and Chat, and couldn't say which threads it's happening on. I don't use the app.

@HebeMumsnet @mnhq this is still happening and is really really annoying. Even if I’ve bookmarked posts it doesn’t jump to them. Any plans to rectify it?
