Is there an alert when someone replies to you?

I've started a thread, but don't want to become paranoid about coming back to check if anyone has replied.
Can I set up some sort of email alert when someone replies?

If not, can I suggest that the techie wizard should think of inventing one, it would be great.

then you can ignore your email alerts and wish you'd never started the thread !!!

maybe it could be opt in and out, like with a watch thread. If you opt in it could mail to say you have a reply and then not again until you reset it...

I think MN moves too fast for that sort of thing.
