I have not excluded the special needs topic - so why do I never see special needs threads in active convs?

You have to tick the box to opt in to SN

popsycal · 02/04/2008 19:39

I checked my 'included and excluded' lists in my topic thingy and I have included SN....

Its not the included/excluded box, its the one underneath that says:

"Special Needs Topic

The Special needs topic is managed separately on an "opt-in" basis. If you'd like to include Special needs threads in your Active Conversations list, please select the yes option here and click Save."

aaaah
got it now!
Wonder why it is in my 'included' list then if you can't 'include' and have t opt in separately....

It was probably just overlooked when it was made 'opt in'.

Perhaps teccie will read this and remove it from the included list.

Hi Popsycal, "Special Needs" isn't in the list of topics that you can select to include/exclude - as the others have pointed out, there is a separate tickbox for it.

Special Educational Needs is in the list though, perhaps it was that which you had included?

aha
mystery solved
