Issues with numbered lists

Morning

We're having a few issues with the latest Bootcamp sign-up thread:

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/low_carb_bootcamp/5064083-next-low-carb-bootcamp-will-start-on-13-may-sign-up-here?reply=134888084

We always create a numbered list when people sign-up, as this is helpful when we're setting up our spreadsheet - and ask posters to c+p the list and then add themselves. But for some reason, those on the app are only able to use bullet points, and not numbers, which really isn't helpful!

Any ideas on how we can overcome this?

Hi @BIWI . It might be possible to get around this with some particular formatting. Can they try formatting a numbered list in this way (with the full stops, spaces etc)?

  1. Something
  2. Something

Otherwise, it might just be a case of using the main site to post these lists and then going back to the app for 'ordinary' posting.

Thanks @HebeMumsnet

However, it's not just the difference between the app and the main site - even using the main site there are formatting issues - in the end, to get a continuous list, using all the same formatting (line spacing and paragraph indenting) I had to copy over all the names into a Word document and then re-format them.

What was interesting was that the list had been formatted into two separate 'boxes' - it looked like a text box, except it wasn't (or at least I couldn't highlight it as a text box), and the formatting was different in each.

I've asked about formatting before (I think it was about creating bullet point lists), so there's clearly something in the programming that influences/affects this!

And although we can edit the words of our posts, we don't seem to be able to edit the formatting, which wold be helpful.

Thanks for getting back to us @BIWI . Sounds like your idea might be the best workaround for now. We'll pass your thoughts about formatting upwards for any future opportunities to change this.

Thanks @HebeMumsnet

I do realise that this isn't the most pressing matter!
