Bookmarks not working properly

Over the last couple of days my bookmarks don’t seem to be working properly - when I click on a thread I’ve previously bookmarked, it takes me to the top of the relevant page rather than straight to the bookmarked post. Is this a change in how it works, or has something gone wrong?

Hi there, @RadoxMoon . We'll have a look into this. Can you tell us if you're on the app or the main site first, and what sort of device and browser you're using?

Also, is this happening with all your bookmarked threads or just some? It might be helpful for us to have links to a couple of the threads concerned so we can check it's not something going wrong on the threads themselves.

Using Safari on an iPad and accessing the web version of MN through that.

There are no specific threads it happens on. They’ve all been fine today, but yesterday half the bookmarks didn’t seem to work almost at random.

Thinking about it, I’ve had this a few times over the last few months - there will be times when the bookmarks don’t work and times when they do. It was just particularly bad yesterday!

@LilyMumsnet I'm having issues with bookmarks too. Thread is not going to latest bookmarked post but randomly to another post?

Thanks for the further information, everyone. We'll continue to try to replicate this, and get to the bottom of it. If anyone is able to get a screen recording of it in action and email it to us at [email protected] with the title 'Site Stuff Bookmarks Not Working Properly', that would be really helpful, too.

Can I check @HebeMumsnet, when you say 'screen recording' what do you mean? Do you mean a screen grab, or some kind of video? If so, how do you do one of those?!
