...the ads are not working

I saw a skinny add for Premier Inn, but had moved away from teh page by the time it caught my eye. Then I have been trying to refresh to find it again (I am hoping there is some sort of discount attached, or maybe some revenue for MN if I click thru from here to make my booking rather than going via google ).

But both ad positions (banner and skinny one) are showing an error......bring them back...

Ads will change, even if you refresh the same page I believe. Some ads may be running on all mumsnet pages, others may only be running in certain sections - I think that's how it works. Expect YetMoreTech or someone else from MNHQ can tell you.
So perhaps try revisiting pages in that section, to see if the ad will come up again.

Last night I had a image which was like a mini- 501 error in the same place as the skinny (that is the one which says web page not responding, please try again later?)
and a different error at the top in teh banner position.
I also had a little yellow excalimation mark at the bottom right of page saying "error on page". That is still there now.

I did wonder whether the ad server was down (they are hosted elsewhere aren;t they?).

Adds still aren't there but there is no error just blank space for the banner ad and the text wraps all the way to teh left for the skinny ad.

Same for me - the top banner ad isn't showing (the side, more square one is though). Clicking on "Error on page" does nothing.

hey, stop worrying.....you had MN last night....I didn;t.

lost it at about 8pm, and never came back until this morning!!!

in fact, seems to me that I lose MN, or it goes sooooooooooooooooo slow at least one night a week!!

I thought it could be tha ad's, as others here have mentioned too.....but believe me, I would be happy with the error than no MN!!!!

There are 4 errors

It gives a line and a character for each and hte errors are

'txx3on' is undefined
'txx3off' is undefined
'txx10on' is undefined
'txx10off' is undefined

There is a " symbol at the left where the skinny should be.

I now have a littel girl singing on teh left (and no errorrs on page).

But I want teh premier Inn one back [whails] [chokes] [decends into coughing fit]

My page is now viewing but at the bottome it still says

Waiting for re.connect.wunderloop.net/ blah blah blah

Is that the ad server?

oooh....to add to my moan....

when mine goes slow or fails to load properly, it is the smilies holding mine up, not the ad's.

no idea if this is common at all, or just my PC tho!

slightlymad, i had that wonderloop thingy a minute ago and none of the ads are loading, just coming up with error messages

SMS - the little triangle with the exclamation mark is for JavaScript errors.. ..namely someone's broken the mouseover effects on the main menu bar.. LL - was it you? ;-)

im now getting page cannot be displayed essages in the ad boxes, but no error triangle thing at the bottom

oh and if you're fixing the menu MN, do it with CSS not javascript

Hey LL, it's traditional to blame the newest member of a dev team for any errors.. ;-) Looking forward to employing some more minions in the near future and blaming them for my bad code...
