because "We've had some reports about this thread and can see that it is largely made up of personal attacks, which break our Talk Guidelines, so we've removed it now."

Which begs the question: why do they allow the American Rivera Orchard thread stand when that and its successor is a cesspit of personal attacks, mainly on Meghan Markle but also her husband.

Good. It was full of personal attacks.

Good. It was full of personal attacks.

As is the one about Meghan Markle but it's allowed to stand.

Are they calling MM a cunt?

BeatriceBatchelor · 12/04/2024 21:14

Lots of personal attacks on MM on the thread.

Lots of personal attacks on MM on the thread.

Report it then. If they are calling MM a cunt then MNHQ should delete it.

BeatriceBatchelor · 12/04/2024 22:41

I didn't say they are calling her that. It's not the only personal attack that breaks talk guidelines.

I'm asking @MNHQ here on Site Stuff.

I saw a thread about IW a few weeks ago, where several posters slagged off her looks and were clearly hoping she would get rejected by her date on some reality TV programme. If this latest thread was similar, then I’m not surprised it was deleted.

But they need to be consistent in their moderation.

Hello @BeatriceBatchelor the thread you referenced was removed as a high number of posts were breaking our guidelines.

We look at everything on a case-by-case basis and in response to user reports. Factors such as the tone of the discussion, the intent behind the comments, and the overall direction of the thread all play a role in moderation decisions so we can't really assess a direct comparison like this without examples. If you believe we should review any posts about Meghan and Harry, please report them to us.
