MN App is really glitchy

For the past few days the app has been really slow and unresponsive.
I can't scroll as it freezes and lags behind when typing.

I deleted it and reinstalled the other day.
It's no better now, writing this is excruciating..

Any ideas MN?

We haven't managed to replicate this and it seems to be quite isolated, so we're not too sure what's going on here. Is it happening on every thread you read, or is it isolated to certain ones?

It’s like this on my iPad but ok on iPhone. I also can’t log in via Facebook on my iPad anymore, I have to go in on Safari.

Hi @AGodawfulsmallaffair. This sounds like you're using the main site, rather than the app. Could you try clearing your cache and also checking in your preferences how many posts you are viewing per page. If it's not set to 25 per page, try that - it should help on the longer threads.

I thought it was just me!

I’m posting on an iPhone and can’t tell whether my post has posted or not as the site has stopped taking you to see your post on the thread afterwards ifyswim.

So this morning I pressed “post” on a thread and thought it hadn’t worked, so I pressed “post” again and found I had posted three times by mistake which I obviously reported.

It was fixed very quickly but I then got a “cool down, you are posting too much” message which I also had to report again, as it had been a genuine glitch not a posting out of anger situation.

Basically, when you press “post” it’s like nothing has happened. But then you go to check thread and it has in fact posted. HTH!

Edited to say: it has just done the same thing with this post!

So I pressed “post” and nothing happened. So I copied my post (just in case) and then pressed “done” on my iPhone and couldn’t see it on thread. So then I came out of thread and went back in and it had in fact posted! But that wasn’t apparent from initial posting ifyswim.

Hi @Rememberthereasonswhy thanks for alerting us to this. We had some problems with double and triple posts yesterday but we think we've located the issue and have implemented a fix.

Do let us know if you're still having problems today.
