Advanced Search not working correctly

prh47bridge · 25/03/2024 16:14

Advanced Search is currently only giving a subset of the results. In some cases, where I search for posts I have made using specific terms, it gives no results at all. In others, the results are only a small selection of the posts I have made using the terms selected. It was working correctly last week. Looks like something has gone wrong.

To add to the above, results today have been erratic. For example, looking for posts I have made including the word "barrister", I generally get 12 results. However, on one occasion I got over 80 results, but then I was getting zero results for a while. Now I'm back to 12 results.

Advanced Search needs to be reliable. Please fix it.

Now getting 13 results for in a search for my posts including the word "barrister" - clearly well short of the actual number. The oldest post listed is from April last year. If I modify the search to return posts in the range 01/01/2021 to 31/12/2021 I get 40 results, most of which are not in that date range - it seems to include everything from 01/01/2021 to today.

It looks to me like something has gone wrong with the date range. If you don't specify a range, you only get the last 12 months of results (or thereabouts). If you do specify a range, it ignores the end date.

And and and... when i choose 'all time' for results it says there are zero results! This keeps happening. The search function is not fit for purpose very sadly.
