Is there some other MN App that everyone else is using?

The one i have is only for Talk (which is fine) but it has zero functionality aside of being able to access the threads I'm watching etc.
Can't add pictures, can't only see OPs posts - nothing - just endless threads.

Or am i missing something? There was talk of a funnel to filter conversations - i don't have that in Android. Is the iPhone one more spiffy?

Hi OP

Some of the features on the main site are not yet available on the apps. We're in the process of improving them now, but we don't currently have a timescale. We'll be updating in site stuff when we can.

The App is crap. And the website version isn't much better - so dated. For instance, why on earth can't you filter and see all of your own threads (unless I've missed this feature) and why, on the App, can't you edit, but you can on the website. Needs updating badly.

Just use the website. It's optimised for mobile and it's the least buggy version of Mumsnet.

You can see your own threads. It's in the drop down menu at the top of any thread (on mobile site, not sure of desktop site). Just click 'I started'.

I'm getting a bit bored of constantly being forced into the (purple) app when I follow a link e.g. from an email notification. Its crap.

I always use my phone for MN and much prefer the App. It's much clearer to read - going into the website on a phone is like reading something on a phone from about 15 years ago. It's possible to see all the OPs posts by filtering . As far as I'm aware you can only filter posts from other users if you have the premium .

It doesn't give the opportunity to edit - but I've managed for approx 15 years without editing . Not sure what the new 'thank' is.

The only thing I go back to the website for is to do the advance search so I do use website for that .

Just wondering - is the App different on android as opposed to Apple? My App isn't purple .

I can add pictures to my post using the paper clip symbol underneath the typing box .

So glad someone asked. I have the app for iPhone but can't vote on AIBU etc... thought it was just me!

I use the app most of the time - my eyesight isn't what it was, I've got the text enlarged a bit and it's nice and clear (mostly I use a tablet but it's not too bad on the phone either). It's fine for most reading and posting, and I just open MN in safari if I want to use one of the features which is only in the browser version... probably only need to do that a few times each week.
