I keep getting emails saying I've been thanked but I have no idea what this means?

Someone has pressed the Thanks button under any one of your posts. It's sort the same as Facebook like. If you go back to that post and click on the clapping hands icon below it it tells which poster(s) thanked you.

I'll thank your post now so you can see.

And you can turn off the notifications about being thanked and anything else.

I didn’t know it identifies who thanked you. I do sometimes click on it but will stop now

Mumsnetters using mobile or desktop have the option to 'thank' posters for their contributions.

Thanking isn't yet available on the app, unfortunately. If you want to see who thanked you, you can log into the mobile site to check.

You can also turn these emails off in your talk settings if you don't want to receive them. Let us know if you'd like instructions.

I am getting absolutely spammed by these emails. And I'm really irritated that as I use the app, I have to go into a browser and log in and then find my settings to stop them. I don't think they should be being sent when I have never agreed to be sent them.

Just turn them off in the settings section.

I'm getting these notifications on my mobile, apparently being thanked by up to 4 people at a time.
However, i havent been thanked by anyone when ive checked the thread... really odd!

BUT 30 mins ago i had an email saying ive been thanked by 4 people on one thread AND someone on the song title game thread, where no one would have a reason to thank anyone!
So im getting MN emails that are big fat lies!
