Style and Beauty topic page??

Just wondering what's happened to the Style and Beauty topic page? It's showing in a completely different format to every other topic page on the site?? Not sure I like it either!!🙈

At the top right you can change it to 'compact' and it'll go back to how it was. Bloody annoying,I agree.

This is a new style that was rolled out to the Telly addicts pages a while ago I think.
It’s really not user friendly if you’re on a phone, endless scrolling! Yes you can switch back to “compact mode” but that doesn’t seem persistent so I have to do it every time I look at that page. Using Safari on iPhone, cookies enabled and logged in, so it really should be possible to chose “compact mode” as a setting once and for all @MNHQ

It's not user friendly on a desktop/laptop either...

Hi @BrightBlueFlamingo - what you're seeing is the OP view format which we've rolled out to several topics in the past few months.

You can change to Compact view in your talk settings here: https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk

It's at the top of the list - don't forget to save your changes! Once that's done, compact view will be your default.

But it doesn't stay that way! You have to reset it constantly. It's really annoying.

Edit - you could edit on the thread but that wasn't permanent, but editing it on settings seems to work. It's awful.

Yes this is really annoying! I hate the new expanded forum and the preference doesn't save for me either.

I think will definitely put people off scrolling down and lots of posts will just get lost/unanswered.
